Ulysses S. Grant: Three Rare Tintype Campaign Images.
    1) In the first image a young man sports a spectacular Grant ferro on his lapel. Clearly identifiable as Grant the ferro is in a fancy setting. 2) The second is a comical scene featuring a fellow with a fake beard and hat reading " H. Greely, Last Ditch." His glasses slight askew, the hat makes his statement clear. 3) This image depicts two members of a Grant parade band, one in full uniform with cap and cape. In the left foreground is a snare drum. Most interestingly, he is wearing an apron, a symbol of Grant's humble beginnings as a tanner which was adopted by many parade marchers. All three images are in excellent condition, although the parade marchers image does have some surface bubbling that does not break the surface and is seen only when the light hits at a certain angle. Two of the three are set into a paper mounting and are 3.125 x 4.625". The third is a sixth plate, 2.75" x 3.25".
