    Two Cased 1/6th Plate Tintype Portraits of Unidentified Union Sailors. Nice period portraits of Union sailors; one posed standing; the other seated. One example with a bit of waviness, otherwise both images in very good condition. The cases are Krainik 111, "The Eagle at Bay", and Krainik 227 "Geometric/Scroll". Both examples are complete with paper Littlefield, Parsons & Co. labels. Both cases modestly worn with cracks or chips at the closure, slightly loose hinges and a few dings.
