    Sixth Plate Tintype of a Union Soldier Posed with a Pistol. A seated three quarter portrait, measuring 2.25" x 2.75" (sight), of a young Union soldier with tinted cheeks, holding a small pistol with both hands across his chest. He is also wearing a large brass belt buckle. Housed in a thermoplastic case, measuring 3.25" x 3.75", decorated with patriotic military insignia and flowers. The case was manufactured by Littlefield, Parsons & Co. From the Bret J. Formichi American Civil War Rarities Collection.

    Condition: A clear image with minor imperfections and spotting. Minimal wear to the case, with a cracked area at the top and bottom edge. Overall very good.
