DescriptionRare Gem-Size Lincoln Ferrotype, with Beardless Portrait. This is Sullivan's 1860 Lincoln portrait No. 3, but of course a much larger image showing his full chest, rather than just the face as in Sullivan. Oddly, we cannot recall ever seeing one these 0.75" x 1" frames with a beardless Lincoln image! Probably originally suspended from a flag ribbon, as the top foil flap on reverse has been removed to facilitate such an attachment. An odd discoloration line runs from Lincoln's chin out into the field, which looks at first glance like a scratch, but under magnification appears to be in the emulsion. Otherwise excellent condition, and most unusual.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.View More Testimonials
As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
