    Description

[Lincoln Assassination]: Tintype of Ford's Theatre Ticket-Taker Joseph Sessford. 2.375" x 4" tintype portrait of Joseph Sessford, ticket-taker at Ford's Theatre on the night of the assassination. Several lateral bends, but very nice overall. Recently acquired by the consignor from an online auction that included the contents of a Sessford family photo album with a circa 1865 CDV of Sessford, an older portrait captioned "Grandpa Sessford" and images of assorted family members. This image dates from the time of the assassination.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
