    Description

Three Albumen Photos of the Bank Robbed by Ben Wheeler and Henry Brown. These images date from circa 1890s to early 1900s. The bank's name has changed to Citizen's State Bank, and a hardware store has been built on one side. A one-story building has also been added on the other side, barely visible at the edge of the exterior. The two interior views show the bank as it appeared when it was robbed, and are believed by Len Gratteri to be the only such original photos known. Each was mounted on cut down Medicine Lodge Treasurer's office tax forms. Two are in excellent condition, while one of the interior views has small surface flecks, probably moisture-related. Each, as mounted, approximately 8" x 4".
