    The Wilkins Party: Collection of Photographs Picturing Alaskan Polar Expedition. Nine photographs, each measuring approximately 6.5" x 4.25", picturing events related to the Wilkins Party Arctic Expedition. Images, all identified by inscriptions at bottom recto, include: " 'Detroiter' Alaskan Wilkins Party"; "Fairbanks, Alaska: Wilkin[s] Party"; "1926 Fairbanks: 'Detvoitev' Wilkins Party"; "1926 Polar Expedition", picturing "Eilson" "Hudson" and "Wilkins"; a group photograph picturing "Center, Palmer Hutchinson, standing almost under the Detroiter's right hand engine propeller which killed him two hours later."; "1926 Fairbanks, Alaska: G. H. Wilkins Detroit Artic [sic] Expedition"; "Fairbanks: Detroit Expedition"; "1926 Fairbanks: Ready to leave for Point Barrow"; and " 'Norge' Amundsen's Ship Teller Alaska". All mounted with photo corners on black paper. All in excellent condition, with negligible foxing on one image.
