Texas Ranger Photo Post Card, circa 1920's. 5.5" x 3.5". This photo post card features a mounted Texas Ranger. Stamped "A Texas Ranger / R. Runyon 609" on recto. Some foxing and wear to edges.More Information: In the years before this photograph was taken, the prestige and glory of the Ranger forces had ebbed slightly in the face of rapid development and a lessening need for frontier protection as the frontier itself slowly civilized. By the 1920s, however, the Rangers had experienced a resurgence of usefulness and a somewhat modernized identity.
