    Robert E. Lee: Oval Albumen Photograph by Rees. 6.5" x 9" [sight] bust view of Lee facing slightly left, based on the from-life portrait made by C. R. Rees of Richmond in late 1867. Light fading with scattered foxing. Matted and framed in a modern, oval, gilt frame. Not examined out of frame, but likely was originally affixed to a rectangular mount, then trimmed to an oval size.
