Carl Moon: His Imposing Display Album from his Pasadena Photo Studio. Carl Moon was among the most gifted photographers of Native Americans in their natural state. His portrait images are particularly powerful, rivaling those of Edward Curtis. This massive, custom-made album was used in his Pasadena studio to showcase examples of his work. Inset into the inside front cover is a glass gold tone of Moon's most famous image, his remarkably sensitive portrait of a Navajo boy. The album contains forty selected images printed with a matte finish, ranging in size from 6.5" x 4.5" to 7.5" x 9.5". Each image is matted on a heavy album page, set off by a gold-colored liner. Presumably Moon printed those with a matte finish so the surfaces would not be smudged by clients as they examined the images.

We have selected over a dozen photos to picture on our website. However, one really must see them all, as virtually every one is a photographic masterpiece! This unique album constitutes a genuine treasure for the serious enthusiast of Native American photographs. It is in beautiful condition and measures 12.375" x 11", with a thickness of 2.375".

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
