    Stereoviews Picturing Views of the Central Pacific Railroad. Four stereoviews mounted on orange cards, each measuring 7" x 3.5", picturing scenes along the Central Pacific Railroad which ran from Sacramento, California, to Ogden, Utah from 1863 to 1885, before being absorbed into the Southern Pacific Railroad until 1959. All images in this lot picture California stretches of track circa 1870. Scenes include: An eastern-bound Tea Train, a ravine bridge near Colfax, California, a Summit House and Snow Sheds, and one of the "Fastest Five Trains on Record" in the station at Blue Canyon, California. All cards stamped on recto "J. J. Reilly, Marysville, Cal. / Views of American Scenery." In fine condition, with some light wear to edges of cards and some foxing. From the estate collection of E. F.
