Stereoviews: 21 Geo. Wheeler 1871 Expedition to the Southwest, by Timothy O'Sullivan. Wonderful collection of twenty-one views on yellow mounts with War Department U.S. Army Corps of Engineers crest and Geographical and Geological Surveys West of the 100th Meridian green imprint verso. Most have paper label title also on back. Some of the scarcer images are:
No. 22 - Fred W. Loring (writer) with mule "Evil Merodach." He was brutally murdered by hostile Apache-Mohaves en-route from Prescott to San Bernadino by stage coach (crease upper right corner).
No. 12 - Camp at Boat Crossing on Colorado River just below Grand Canyon.
No. 7 - Mountain Transportation - Pack mule, Pack and packers.
No. 3 - Camp in Painted Canon, Colorado River
No. 1 - The Start from Camp Mohave, Arizona Territory
    September 15, 1871.
No. 10 - Mohave Indians Napping (more likely showing fear of first camera they have ever seen).
No. 13 - Triangulation Station near mouth of Grand Canyon.
No. 2 - Nee-chi-qua-ra, Good Specimen of the Mohave type.
Most are very good to fine condition. From the estate collection of E.F. Mueller.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
