Ulysses S. Grant: Headquarters Photographs. CDV format image of Grant's headquarters at City Point (loss to albumen at bottom, affixed to irregularly trimmed blank card stock), a stereo view of the same image on orange mount (part of Anthony's "War for the Union" series with label titled: "Lt. Gen. Grant's Head Quarters, City Point, Va. May 29, 1865.", a stereo view on yellow mount titled: "Gen. Grant's Headquarters used at Petersburg." (paper remnant on verso obscuring printing, if any), plus a stereo view on yellow mount of a similar, if not identical building, in later years, titled "American Scenery. Fairmount Park, Phil'a." The building may have been moved to Philadelphia for the Centennial Exposition of 1876. Condition varies. Please refer to posted image. The CDV came from the personal album of the French Count Agenor de Gasparin (1810-1871). The album page used to house it, with identification by Gasparin, is included.
