Pair of Abraham Lincoln Stereoviews. The first stereoview features a gorgeous example of #O-84, taken by Brady in Washington, D.C. on January 8, 1864. This particular item bears a label on the verso that identifies it as number 2968 of the "Prominent Portraits" series done by American and Foreign Stereoscopic Emporium. It also boasts that it was published by E. & H.T. Anthony, who produced imprints of many of Brady's portraits. In very fine condition; emulsion is very crisp and dark, showing extreme detail on Lincoln's face; light soiling. Measures 6.75" x 3.5".

The second stereoview depicts a view of Lincoln's home in Springfield, Illinois. Several men are shown looking up at the home in admiration, a handful of them appear to be African-Americans. Bearing a B.W. Kilburn imprint on the verso and recto, the stereoview is in very fine condition; moderate edge wear; excellent toning.
