    Fort Sumter: Three Stereoviews from an 1865 Flag Raising including: No. 3139. "Interior of Fort Sumter . . . pending he ceremony of raising the old Flag." [and:] No. 3144. "Interior of Fort Sumter . . . Gen. [Robert] Anderson and Gilmore . . . preparing to raise the old Flag." [and:] No. 3143. "Interior of Fort Sumter . . . during the ceremony of raising the old Flag." Anderson was raising the flag that he took with him when he evacuated the fort four years earlier. Each image, measuring 7" x 3.5", was taken on April 14, 1865, the day of Lincoln's assassination.
