    Sixth Plate Daguerreotype of an Attractive Young Woman by Jeremiah Gurney, Circa 1855. Gurney is renowned as one of America's most aesthetically-skilled photographers and this is a fine example of his work. Untouched/ uncleaned, exquisite quality, pristine condition. Gurney logo with 349 Broadway address die stamped at lower right on mat. Housed in a pristine maroon leather geometric push button case with gilt decoration. Very scarce and a very nice example of Gurney's work.
