William F. "Buffalo Bill" Cody Real Photo Postcard Signed "W. F. Cody, 'Buffalo Bill'". 3.5" x 5.25", number 1144 of the Rotary Photographic Series. Cody is posed standing and wearing an overcoat and hat, his head turned at a jaunty angle. His gold watch chain and horseshoe fob are clearly visible. The photograph is captioned in the negative "Colonel Cody/ "Buffalo Bill" along the lower edge and Cody has signed the photo "W. F. Cody, "Buffalo Bill" in black ink in the lower margin. Sadly, the ink signature has smudged and there is a bit of toning to the paper, otherwise the post card is in very good condition.

Due to a computer error when this auction was posted on our web site, some clients were inadvertently able to place bids at below the established minimum bids published in the catalog. This has been corrected, and the minimum required bid now posted above either reflects that required opening bid or bidding action at or above the starting bid.
