Charlie Parker was a highly influential jazz saxophonist and composer. His music and style were key to the development of the branch of jazz known as bebop. Born in Kansas, Parker moved to New York City in 1939 to pursue his musical career, and it was at this time that he discovered and developed his iconic and groundbreaking musical vocabulary. Herman Leonard graduated from Ohio University and became apprentice to Yousuf Karsh in Ottowa, Canada. Later, his interest in the jazz scene took him to New York, where he established his own studio and shot publicity portraits for up and coming jazz musicians. Among some of his subjects were Billie Holiday, Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, and Quincy Jones.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
