Photograph of Geronimo and Friends, Circa 1905. Measuring 2.25" x 4", this fantastic, silver gelatin photograph features the famed Chiricahua leader in western-style frock coat, white shirt, and tie, seated in front of two unidentified, American Indian men. The men standing behind him wear similar attire. In his left hand, Geronimo holds a handkerchief. Only the slightest amount of silvering is evident. Minor wrinkling of the upper and lower right corners. Mounted to an ornately embossed backing board to an overall size of 4.25" x 6.5".

Geronimo (1829-1909), a prominent leader of Chiricahua Apache in the southwest, warred against the encroachment of the United States on his tribal lands and people for over twenty-five years. While outnumbered, Geronimo fought against both Mexican and United States troops and became famous for his daring exploits and numerous escapes from capture from 1858 to 1886. In 1886, after years on the run, the great Geronimo surrendered to the U.S. army and was sent to Florida for imprisonment. In 1894, Geronimo and 341 other Apaches were taken to Fort Sill, where they were held as prisoners of war for the rest of their lives. Geronimo was occasionally allowed to leave the fort later in his life, famously touring (briefly) with Pawnee Bill's Wild West Show in 1908. From the estate collection of E.F. Mueller.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
