    Bill Hudson worked for the Associated Press and is best known for his photographs taken during the Civil Rights movement of the 1960s. His image of Walter Gadsden being attacked by a police dog did much to sway public opinion on the Civil Rights movement. It appeared on the front page of The New York Times on May 4, 1963 and stirred national outrage. This particular photograph was issued by the National Press Photographers Association upon Hudson's photo winning the association's Picture of the Year.

    Condition: Excellent. Trivial wear to corners. Annotations and stamp on verso, with some staining on back.
