Tombstone, Arizona: Photograph of Cochise County Courthouse. Photograph, circa 1901-1904, a 6.5" x 4.75" albumen print on a 9" x 7" mount. The Cochise County Courthouse was built in 1882 and housed county offices, courtrooms, and a jail. The courthouse closed in 1931. Standing outside the building are, from left to right, Jack Mathias, Cochise County Jailer; C.R. Bostwick, Probate Judge; Ed Land, District Attorney; William Hattich, Editor of the Tombstone Prospector and Epitaph; Hugh Conlon, Under Sheriff; M.D. Scribner, County Treasurer; Del Lewis, County Sheriff. Standing in the front are, front left, A.H. Emanuel, Clerk of District Court and former Mayor of Tombstone from 1896-1900; and front right, Thomas R. York, Chairman of the Cochise County Board of Supervisors. The mount is chipped and worn in appearance, with a slight water stain on the bottom right hand side and eight pinholes on the edges and the middle of the top and bottom edges. A small piece (less than 5mm) is missing from the photograph on the upper left hand corner, which does not detract from the clear image.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
