Southern Pacific Railroad Original Photo Album with 90+ Oregon Photographs, circa 1900. A ledger-style clothbound album from the Southern Pacific General Passenger Office Reference Library, labeled on the spine "Book No. 13 / Oregon / Anna Creek / Crater Lake / Columbia River / Klamath Falls, Ore. / Klamath Lake / New R.R. Line From Weed to K.F." These high-quality photographs average 8" x 6" in size and are all mounted on linen pages (one side only) with handwritten descriptions below. Many have a red ink stamp "Southern Pacific Photo / File Copy". The images were most likely shot by Southern Pacific's staff photographers and, very possibly, many were first seen in the railroad's promotional magazine Sunset. Vividly captured is the natural beauty of this area as well as manmade landmarks such as government buildings, homes, businesses, and of course, railroad tracks. A fabulous collection.
