John F. Kennedy: An Important Oversized Signed Jacques Lowe Photograph of a Clearly Worried JFK During the Cuban Missile Crisis. Titled by Lowe in his hand "Late Night at the White House/October 1961." This print was undoubtedly made by Lowe some years after the fact, as he mistakenly lists the year as 1961 rather than 1962. But it seems very likely that this remarkable photo captures JFK during the historic missile crisis. 18"x 13.5", elegantly custom-framed to 23"x 18". Perhaps the finest Lowe photo of Kennedy we have ever handled. He was, of course, one of the principal photographers of JFK during the 1960 campaign and his White House years, and is widely considered to have created some of the most poignant and evocative images of the President and his family. As official White House photographer, Lowe had access to JFK at many historic moments such as this one. The photographer stored all his original negatives in a bank vault which was destroyed when the Twin Towers fell in 2001. Accordingly, there can be no more prints made of his iconic photographs.
