    Large Size Photograph of Nez Perce Indian Chiefs Wearing Peace Medals, ca. 1890s. A great image of seven prominent Nez Perce/Umatilla Indian Chiefs posing for this historic photograph. Two of these Indians are wearing peace medals. Four of them are displaying their fancy dress in an unidentified photographers studio. Three are wearing white man's clothing, there is also a white man standing with them in background. Pencil identification verso, "Forest Chauteau, A. R. Miller, Silas Conn, Albert Taylor, Little Fire, Jim Pepper, Jess Majhoe & Ray Manval." Measures approximately 10.75" x 8.25".

    Very good-fine, mount has glue residue.
