    Large Cabinet Card photograph Gambling Street Scene Purcell, Indian Territory ca 1890s. Purcell, the county seat and also recording town for district 18, Indian Territory. The post office was established April 21, 1887 and was named for E.B. Purcell of Manhattan, Kansas, Santa Fe Railroad director.

    Great rare imperial size photograph of outdoor Gambling street scene, on this very busy street in Purcell, Indian Territory. There are two wheels of fortune on the street and also some type of numbers game, man in front showing the crowd something. There is also a black man in the middle of crowd. Very interesting and RARE gambling photograph by Mitchell & DeGroffs of Guthrie, Indian Territory. Measures approximately 8.50" x 5.25".

    Condition: Very fine, image has great contrast, mount has some light wear
