    Description

    Jennie [also Ginnie] Wade, the Only Civilian Killed at the Battle of Gettysburg Carte de Visite. Approximately 2.5 x 4" with an Isaac G. Tyson Photographer, Gettysburg studio mark on the verso. Mary Virginia Wade (1843-1863) was killed on the third day of the battle by a Minié ball while kneading dough at the house of her sister on 528 Baltimore Street in Gettysburg. The image is slightly faded; otherwise it is in very good condition.
