    Description

Half Plate Tintype Of Two Federal Infantry Officers. Probably early war and likely western theater. Both wear lighter colored slouch hats with narrow brims, very long four button fatigue blouses with gilt tinted shoulder straps. Sword belts with over the shoulder slings and foot officers' swords at their sides. Fine quality, just some scattered bluing but emulsion tight and image crisp. In half case and very desirable in this large size.

From the estate of Houston collector Brent Burg.
