A fabulous lot of images representing a large helping of the cream of 19th and 10th century authors including a wonderful carte de visite portrait of Thomas Carlyle, two cartes de visite of Wilkie Collins, cabinet card photograph of J. M. Barrie, photograph of Edgar Allan Poe, two sepia portraits of painter Edward Burne-Jones, Lord Byron and Frederick Douglass, hand-printed photograph of Nathaniel Hawthorne, a facsimile of a signed image of Elizabeth Barrett Browning, Paul Laurence Dunbar, photo of George Bernard Shaw, two sepia publicity images of Ray Bradbury, three photos of Harry and Caresse Crosby, early publicity portrait of Truman Capote, images of Simon de Beauvoir and Taylor Caldwell, and an original pencil sketch by Robert B. Wild of Irish poet Padriac Column. All examples in very good or better condition.
