    Great Silhouetted Ninth Plate Ambrotype Of A Confederate Sergeant In Thermoplastic Case. Absolutely the finest quality and pristine condition. The subject is silhouetted against a white background. Wears gray kepi with wide black band at the base, insignia on the front tinted gilt. Gray frock coat with black piping around collar, sergeant's stripes on each sleeve and black straps at each shoulder. Buttons tinted gilt as is his waist belt plate, and the hilt of the sword he is holding over his shoulder. The remarkable quality actually clearly shows the bright luster on the blade. Housed in a mint geometric motif brown thermoplastic case with S. Peck's Patent info on label in back. An absolutely stunning Confederate image that virtually 'whistle's Dixie'.
