    Description

George Armstrong Custer: Carte-de-Visite by Brady. CDV (K-74) of the flamboyant general taken by Mathew Brady in Washington, D.C. in 1865. The CDV has a gold-rule border and front & back Brady imprints. The image has some typical faint mottling which detracts minimally. A scarce pose that is very popular with collectors. We had a wonderful time in New York during the October 2013 Historical Manuscripts auction that featured my mother’s papers collected during her tenure as Martin Luther King, Jr.’s secretary. In fact, the entire experience from beginning to end has been a pleasure.
