    Description

George Armstrong Custer: A Classic Brady Carte-de-Visite of George & Libbie Custer with Brother Tom. One of the more sought-after Custer images among collectors. Taken in Washington, D.C. on January 3, 1865 with Mathew Brady front & back imprints (K-49). There is a small pin hole at the top as well as some light toning and corner wear. Overall a fine example of a seldom offered CDV. Both General Custer and his brother Tom were killed at Little Bighorn on June 25, 1876. The Michael Ward Collection of Western Americana
