Description
General John B. Floyd Carte de Visite. 2.5" x 4". Floyd (1806-1863), a former governor of Virginia and U.S. secretary of war, entered Confederate service as a general upon the secession of his native Virginia. He is seen in this 2.5" x 4" three quarter length image with his right hand in his jacket, his left hand resting on books. Brady backstamp on the verso.
