El Paso: Otis A. Aultman Photographic Archive, consisting of two leather albums containing near seventy-five photographs documenting the growth of El Paso during its wild and unruly years of the late nineteenth and early twentieth-century. All photographs are 10" x 8". Subjects and scenes of the photographs are varied and include sports teams, trolleys, organizations, architecture, street scenes, musical bands, saloons, and El Paso construction work. Additional scenes consist of El Paso civic groups (many group photographs include typed identifications of individuals). One interesting photograph shows the hanging of outlaw Jim Miller in Ada, Oklahoma. Most photos are stamped on recto or verso with Aultman's stamp.

Otis Aultman (1874-1943) moved to El Paso in 1908. After a brief period of working for a photo studio, he opened his own on San Francisco Street. His studio became a hangout for local and non-local characters. As these photographs show, Aultman had interests in archaeology and El Paso history.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
