Eight Miscellaneous Cartes de Visite. A diverse offering highlighted by a card titled "Prince of Wales & Family". No backmark, circa 1865. The sitters here are the future British monarch Edward VII, his wife Princess Alexandra of Denmark and their infant son, the future King George V. Other great CDVs in this lot include Martha Washington from a lithograph, an 1880s militia officer (likely Connecticut), a hand-colored German CDV showing a young officer with sword, a hunter with two dogs and a shotgun, a young woman's portrait from Brady's New York studio, an unidentified lady from Connecticut, and a humorous drawing of two dogs and a family of parrots. Average fine condition.
