    Civil War Union Cabinet Cards and Carte-de-visite. Circa 1875 CDV signed on the verso "Yours very truly/ M. O. McNiff". C. O. Edwards of Rushford, Minnesota back mark. Michael O. McNiff served as a private in Company D New York 44th Infantry and was discharged for disability on December 23, 1862. 2) Cabinet card of John Lyons who served in Company E New York 72nd Infantry. Promoted to Corporal, he was wounded at Gettysburg on July 2, 1863 and remained in the military until May 6, 1864 (trimmed at bottom with some mottling to the image). 3) Cabinet card by Latto of South Boston, depicting "Ed B. Meehan Co. B 28th Mass. Inf. Irish Brigade at Battle of Gettysburg." The back side has extensive notations regarding Meehan who was wounded at Fredericksburg on December 13, 1862. 4) Cabinet card by Fenton & Andruss of Jamestown, New York depicting "James Hall/ Co. B. 72nd Regt. N. Y. Vols. March 1862". Hall was killed at Malvern Hill, Virginia on July 1, 1862. 5) Cabinet card by Fenton & Andruss of Jamestown, New York depicting Prentice E. Bishop "Co. 'B' 72nd Regt. N. Y. Vols. 1864". Bishop was captured at Chancellorsville, briefly detained at Libby Prison, wounded in the shoulder at Gettysburg and died of his wounds on July 21, 1865.
