Description

Civil War Tintype "Union and Constitution" (Krainik 27). 4" x 5", circa 1860s, housed in a scarce thermoplastic case on both sides with "Union and Constitution", engraved by Anthony Schaefer and made by Littlefield, Parsons and Company. Four unidentified men, dressed in civilian clothes, with two standing and two seated on wooden chairs. Although the men are not in uniform, the case makes a pro-Union statement.
