Civil War Period Carte de Visite Album Containing Twenty-Four Nice Images. 5 1/2' X 6 1/2", brown cloth with gilt stampings, gilt edged leaves, brass clasp. Very nice overall condition, the spine cover split and loose but spine sound. All 24 images are excellent, and period, and of important period personages. In addition to Civil War generals, there is a beautiful portrait of Mary Todd Lincoln, Queen Victoria, Charlotte Cushman, etc. along with some exceptional military portraits such as Gen. Scott, Rosecrans, Meagher and Gen. Butler & Staff. Very nice album with some very fine and scarce images.
