    Civil War Cartes de Visite: Lot of Five Union Soldiers.
    Comprising: 1.) Lt. Robert J. Kelly, New York 88th Infantry. Lt. Kelly is posed standing in uniform with his sword by his side. A. H. Messenger, U.S. General Hospital, Div. 1, Annapolis, Maryland studio imprint on the verso. With .02 cent Washington revenue stamp. Signed on the back in ink, presumably by Kelly. 2.)
    Unidentified Union soldier, posed seated in uniform. J. W. Black, Boston studio imprint on the verso. 3.) Bust portrait CDV of an unidentified Union officer. S. Masury, Boston studio imprint on the verso. 4.) Unidentified Union lieutenant posed standing. W. H. Pope, Brooklyn studio imprint on the verso. 5.) Unidentified Union soldier posed standing with his rifle. No studio imprint on the verso.

    Condition: 1.) Good. Some toning to albumen image, with some spotting at the lower right margin. 2.) Very good. A bright, clear image. 3.) Good. Some age spotting and toning to the emulsion. 4.) Very good. 5.) Good. Spotting and toning to the emulsion with some fading to the image and mounting remnants on the verso.
