    Chief Sitting Bull: Albumen Cabinet Card by Palmquist and Jurgens, Circa 1884. Magnificent full length, seated portrait of Hunkpapa Sioux Chief Sitting Bull, (Tatonka Yotanka) with a wearing a single eagle feather in his hair, fur-wrapped braids, beaded leggings and moccasins, holding a peace pipe and beaded tab tobacco bag. Facsimile of his famous signature is printed on mount along with Palmquist and Jurgens' 1884 copyright. Sitting Bull's signature is highly collectible, the Chief learned to write his name upon joining Buffalo Bill's Wild West show in order to sell his autograph to the public. St. Paul, Minnesota studio backmark along with a brief biography of Sitting Bull on verso. 4.25" x 6.5".
