    Union Major General Abner Doubleday Lot of Two Cartes de Visite. Including: 1) CDV image of Doubleday as a captain taken about the time of Ft. Sumter. He is posed standing, in uniform hat in hand. Clearly visible on his hat is the crossed cannon insignia of the 1st Artillery. E. Anthony, New York studio imprint, from a photographic negative from Brady's National Portrait Gallery. Trivial toning, otherwise a clear, sharp image in excellent condition. 2) CDV of General Doubleday and his wife Mary. Both are shown in full, the general seated in uniform, Mary in a fine dress and cape. E. Anthony, New York studio imprint, from a photographic negative from Brady's National Portrait Gallery. Contemporary identification at the lower edge of the mount. Very good condition.
