    Union General Gershom Mott Carte de Visite & Clipped Signature, with a post war image. 2.5" x 4", Marked on verso "E. & H.T. Anthony 501 Broadway, New York." Mott is pictured here seated and holding is left hand open in his lap. The photo likely taken after he was wounded in the arm at the Second Battle of Bull Run. For his bravery in that battle he was promoted to brigadier general. The image shows minor soiling and some glue residue on the back, otherwise excellent. Included with this CDV is a clipped signature, 3.5" x 1.5" and a post war image on card. The card has broken along the edge of the picture but the image is complete at 2.5" x 3.75" and shows minor soiling.
