    Union Brigadier General Willis Arnold Gorman Carte de Visite and War-Date Signature. Including: (1) CDV of the general posed standing, in uniform, sword by his side. Approximately 2.5" x 4" with an E. & H. T. Anthony, New York imprint on the verso, from a negative in Brady's National Portrait Gallery. A clear, bright image in fine condition. (2) Clipped signature, approximately 4.75" x 3". In full: "W. A. Gorman / Brig Genl U.S.V. / Harrisons Landing / July 22, 1862". The paper is slightly age toned, otherwise the signature is bold, bright and in fine condition. Willis A. Gorman (1816-1876) participated in the First Bull Run, the Peninsula Campaign and Antietam.
