Including: (1) CDV of General Meigs posed standing, in uniform, measuring approximately 2.5" x 4" with an E. & H. T. Anthony, New York studio mark on the verso. From a negative in Brady's National Portrait Gallery. Modest soiling to verso, else a crisp, bright image in very good condition. (2) CDV bust portrait of Meigs in uniform, measuring approximately 2.5" x 4" with a Mathew Brady studio imprint on the verso. Two-cent George Washington tax stamp affixed to verso. Fine. (3) CDV bust portrait of Col. Vance in civilian clothing, measuring approximately 2.5" x 4" with a J. Gurney & Son, New York studio imprint on the verso and lower edge of the recto. Moderate scuffing to verso; age toning to image, else very good condition.Auction Info
