    Union Brigadier General George Dashiell Bayard, Mortally Wounded at the Battle of Fredericksburg, Two Cartes de Visite and Clipped Signature. Including: 1) Bust portrait CDV of Bayard in uniform with a two-cent George Washington revenue stamp on the verso. Slight fading, otherwise in excellent condition. 2) Sharp CDV of the general seated in uniform, hat in hand. Charles D. Fredericks & Co., New York studio imprint on the verso. Excellent. 3) Clipped signature "Geo D Bayard / Brig Genl", 5.25" x 2", with period ink annotation "Killed at the battle of Fredericksburg / December 1862 Virginia". A large, bold signature in excellent condition.
