    Union Brevet Major General John White Geary Pair of Cartes de Visite. (1) Bust portrait CDV of Geary in uniform with a Henzy & Company, Philadelphia studio mark on the verso, approximately 2.5" x 4". Top corners rounded, else a bright image in excellent condition. (2) CDV of the general seated, in uniform, approximately 2.5" x 4", with a Henzy & Company, Philadelphia studio mark on the verso. Very good. John W. Geary (1819-1873) was a Mexican-American War veteran and during the Civil War was present at Chancellorsville, Gettysburg, Lookout Mountain and Atlanta among others.
