Ten Varying Views of Abraham Lincoln - Cartes de Visite. Included are: 4 examples of #O-55. The original of this photograph is believed to the most valuable Lincoln photograph in existence according to Lloyd Ostendorf. Two of the four bear imprints on the verso: Hall and J.E. McClees. All are in fine or better condition. 1 - #O-92, an engraving from the original in a ovoid frame of gold. In very fine condition; light overall toning; no border; square corners. 1 - #O-84, a variant on the Brady original bearing a Gurney imprint. In fine condition; light soiling and toning; double lined gilt border; rounded corners. 2 - #O-92 (Five-dollar bill photo), one large, one small. The smaller one is in an ovoid frame. Both in very fine condition; pencil notations on back; no imprints. 1 - An advertising card, using what is likely the #O-92 five-dollar bill portrait. It reads: "'Seal Of North Carolina' Plug Cut. - Lincoln." In very fine condition; light yellowing overall; mounting traces on verso; pencil notations on verso; no border; square corners. 1 - Variant of #O-114. The original has Tad Lincoln in it as well, and the sylvan background was added in the later engravings for artistic effect. This example was published by G.F. Bouve and only features Lincoln. This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
