    Description

SOLDIER PHOTO, DISCHARGE PAPERS, FIREMAN PHOTO. This is an excellent lot documenting the legacy of Ambrose Marcellus, who enlisted in the Union Army 7/ 21/64 in Utica, NY, as a private with the 86th New York infantry. Marcellus mustered out in 6/27/65. This group shows a young Ambrose on CDV as a soldier with his great coat, his discharge paper and a large albumen of him with his fireman’s hat and horn. A very interesting group of New York Civil War and firemen history. Civil War research documentation from CivilWarData.com included with group.
