    Rev. Josiah Henson's 1849 autobiography The Life of Josiah Henson, Formerly a Slave, Now an Inhabitant of Canada, as Narrated by Himself is believed to have inspired the title character of Harriet Beecher Stowe's Uncle Tom's Cabin. This example bears the studio imprint of Bradshaw & Godart, successors to The London School of Photography.

    Condition: A particularly nice example in excellent condition.
