Rare Carte-De-Visite of Lincoln By Gardner Accompanied By Carte-De Visite Of Lincoln And Tad. View of Lincoln and Tad also by Gardner with his gilt Capitol building backmark. Mottled fading on image, mount perfect. The Lincoln portrait is the view taken at the sitting of August 9, 1863 by Gardner, Absolutely pristine. Backmark of "Gardner, Photographer / 511 Seventh street and 322 Penna. Avenue. / Published By Philp (sic) & Solomons, / Washington, D.C." Really a choice example of this very scarce and most desirable Lincoln portrait.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
