    Marsena R. Patrick Signed Carte de Visite. 2.5" x 4", a chest-up profile portrait in uniform, with an Alex Gardner, Washington, D.C. backstamp on verso. Signed on verso: "M.R. Patrick."

    Marsena Rudolph Patrick (1811-1888) headed the New York State Agricultural College. He served as inspector, military governor and Provost Marshal General of the Army of the Potomac, a position he excelled in.

    Condition: There is a small imperfection over Patrick's nose. The image is slightly faded. Light edge toning. Mounting residue and pencil notations on verso. Boldly signed.
